What is the role of an Architect today and how does it differ from the past? and what are the lessons we have learned from the past? These questions are very important for an aspiring Architect. And the ones who want to follow up on the skills and requirements of the future.

In past Architects were somewhat independent and over the years that has changed and today we are somewhat more democratic and creative directors. Today the ones who have been a part of the company and stakeholders are the part of the project. And they play the role of a co-producer through the entire process.

The role of classic builders has been taken away and the new tasks have been added in the such as mediator and process facilitators. Society in which people live change and as Architects, we must explore the different options.

And demand the answers to what the future will hold and the insights and knowledge about the great challenges of our environment the needs of new people who are born in that new environment.

An architect I someone who reflects on how we live, learn and work and an architect should be able to ease communities and collaborations. Architects create new projects and develop old ones to ensure social interaction and sustainability.

We are at a time where we can learn from the mistakes of the people and we have all the resources to learn and research about the particular topic of the method to decide whether to adopt to that style or method as an Architect.

Architects understand that the interaction doesn’t only happen because of communal spaces but also due to the fact that the buildings are placed in a manner that they support and incite the interaction between the individuals.

  1. Focus on sustaining and engaging communities that make the cities more liveable-
  2. For example, the option where one can join different activities and clubs within a particular society.
  3. Focus on the communities of the future.
  • Creating a design that inspires new meetings.
  • Demographics changes in societies and that demands the new of creating a living space.
  • More support for social diversity.
  • Architecture that creates the room for people to meet across generations and culture.
  • The architecture should interact with everyone in the environment from neighbors to strangers.
