Constructions

Slabs used in floor and roof decks

Slabs are the construction that is provided in flat surfaces, mainly in horizontal, building floor, roofs, bridges, and other types of structures. The slab supports the walls, by columns, steel beams, and others. Slabs support on two sides or beams of all four sides.

Solid Flat Slabs:

Solid flat slab is the slab with or without the drops supported mainly without the beams by the columns with or without column heads. The Solid flat slab is normally thicker than the normal solid floor slab. Solid Flat Slabs is also known as One-Way Slabs. The Solid Flat Slabs structure its lateral stability is not dependent on the slab-column connections. The advantage of Solid Flat Slab is the Pliability in room layout, Steel bars placement is easier, Relieve of framework installation, The height of the building can be reduced, Less time for construction, Sprinkler is easier. The disadvantages of Solid Flat Slab is The length is medium, High slab thickness, Not suitable for brittle masonry partitions, Reproving middle strip deflection, Drops panels interfere with the large mechanical channel.

Hollow Core Slabs:

Hollow Core Slabs is currently the most popular solution for the floor. The original Hollow Core slab supports the rigid supports. The work of Hollow Core Slabs is not irrelevant. Hollow Core Slabs is the concrete slab with the tubular voids which run through the full length of the slab, by reducing the weight of the unit. It only supports in the area of their outermost webs. The Hollow Core Slab increases the efficiency of the structure. It employs predominantly for floor and roof deck components. The various structures of floor and roof deck include multifamily housing, hotel and condominium, office buildings, schools, and prisons.

Double Tee Briefly:

The Double Tee briefly shows that the cracks that can occur in the prestressed double tee during the casting, stripping, or the shipment. Some of the cracks occur during the fabrication and the shipment, the article covers. Double Tee is the common flooring element for the larger projects. It is employ for other long-span flooring and roof applications like athletic facilities and the buildings of worship.

Single Tee:

The Interior beams have the flange on both sides, known as Single Tee. Single Tee is also known as T-beam. It reinforced concrete structural systems like floors, roofs, decks, etc, and almost the monolithic, except for the precast systems. The entire construction is the deepest beam to the top of the slab from the bottom.
